Retired New South Wales Police Sergeant Geoff Little has a large Rotary heart and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of East Sydney D9750. He is a member of the Rotary Club of North Sydney Sunrise D9680 (formally Wollstonecraft).

He can speak about the Rotary District Peace Communities Project and the Police Law Enforcement Professionals Fellowship of Rotarians, and his work with clubs in the Philippines and Internationally.

THE SMILING COP GOES INTERNATIONAL

Sergeant Geoff Little has controlled traffic all around the world, promoting better relations between police and the community Rotary-based projects.

Sergeant Little, known as ‘The Smiling Policeman’ is the Founding Chairman of a Police/Law Enforcement Professionals Fellowship of Rotarians, is a Past President of the Rotary Club of East Sydney, and a member of the Wollstonecraft Rotary Club.

He has visited many cities in the world promoting the Fellowship and Rotary’s ‘Peace City (which has become known as Rotary District Peace Communities Programme – Editors Note) and the black marble Peace City Monument and Peace Symbol in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

To encourage press coverage, Sergeant Little goes on traffic control duty with local police. He has controlled traffic in London, Delhi, Agra, Jerusalem, Manila, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Belfast, and Moscow.

Sergeant Little has also been strongly involved in drug awareness campaigns in the Philippines and a project called ‘Polio Past’ which assists polio sufferers to live a better life.

In Moscow, Sergeant Little promoted a project for ‘Russia’s Forgotten Children’, which helps young people through donations of clothing, toys, medical supplies, and vocational training.

In Belfast, he assisted with a project titled ‘Towards a Better Understanding’, which is being promoted by the local Rotary Club.
